How to install Riverview (Bonus Town) – Sims 3

Category : games

Last year, as soon as it was available in Panama Sims 3, I bought it :-) . The game comes with Sunset Valley and an extra town call Riverview , which you can download from the Internet if you took the time to register your game at the online store. But it wasn’t that easy to download and install, well, at least it wasn’t for me.

  1. First go to the online store and download the town here is the direct download link
  2. On that page click on the ‘Add to Game‘ which is a green button, if you’ve tried before (like me) it’ll say download again.
  3. Then click on the checkmark that says ‘Sims 3 is installed
  4. Click on ‘Download
  5. When you browser ask you what application to use to open the file select ‘Sims 3 Launcher‘ (Important!) and click OK
  6. The Sims 3 Launcher should automatically open, and Riverview should be in your Downloads tab (if fine the file size listed as 1K, after the download complete you should see the full size as 92.8 MB or similar
  7. Click on the check mark on the left side and then on the Install button.

If for any reason you continue on having trouble downloading the town, try re-downloading Riverview with your Sims 3 Launcher already open, and follow the steps above.

You can re-download the town as many times as you need!!

The Lovely Bones (Film) on Theather this February – UK

Category : Books, movie

The Lovely Bones is a Bestseller novel (easy to read novel for a non-English speaker) by Alice Sebold, with around 300 pages. It’s about a 14 year old girl who after being murder stays in her own heaven awaiting for justice and watch how her family and friends deal with her death. The main story line is not her murder but how life goes by after Susie’s death. The whole story is from Susie Salmon point of view, which in my opinion makes the novel stand out from any other.

I read this book on November 2005, after an internet friend used it as inspiration for one of her online stories. Took me one week to finish the book, I just couldn’t stop reading!. I want to make emphasis on how easy was for me to read Alice Sebold’s book, her use of common words and the easy way the story goes, makes The Lovely Bone an easy to read book for newbie.

When I visited London on the last weekend of January, I saw the poster from The Lovely Bone (Film) and I couldn’t believe it! I was in my way to the next tube when there it was, the big poster, Next February 16th.

This is the second time, a book I have read comes out as a Film.

I liked the movie but there were too many things missing that, for me, are key stones in the novel.  I guess due to the certification (PG-13) of the film those scenes were not added to the the film. I don’t want to give any spoilers about the movie instead I recommend you to read the book after watching the movie, then you will realize that Peter Jackson (director of the film) let the essence of the novel get lost between trying to keep the movie PG and make it fit in lest than 135 min.

Dr House makes fun of himself on Family Guy

Category : TV shows, funny

Looks like, last year Dr House took care of Peter’s father-in-law “Carter” after he suffered a heart attack and went into a coma. I found this video on Youtube (again.. ), my favorite part is at the end, when Dr House stops speaking with American accent, lol. For the record it is Hugh Laurie who is doing the voice of Dr House.
