On my first visit to London, one of the top attraction I wanted to visit was the Madame Tussauds Museum or Wax Museum. I didn’t have the time to visited that museum when I went to New York on 2007, only 4 day in NYC and too many places to visited. Back to London, the museum is located on Marylebone Road get on the Baker Street line and you will get there
. I strongly recommend to buy tickets online unless you love queues and waiting for almost one hour to buy your ticket, it’s and excitement for you… tickets bought online have priority access and a 10 % discount
.
If you are traveling by train, perhaps the promotion two for one it’s your way to go. We travel to London by train from Oxford and we save almost 35 pounds!! on Tube stations, Madame Tussauds and The London Movie Museum.
Inside the museum you will see wax figures that look very similar to the real character, you will have the opportunity to get as close as you want to the figure and have a picture been taken. There are also photographer for Michael Jackson, The Queen and President Obama with Michelle Obama, who will take a pictures for you and if you like the photo you can buy it. I have to admit the wax figures look very really on the pictures taken by the photographer from the museum (they better do!! you pay 9 pound for the picture!!). I have one taken with The Queen
Have a look a this museum, you will have no regret (just like Blair said…

The London Tub
e is very similar to any other underground around the world, but I’m just able to compare the Tube with the Subway located in New York City, there are a few differences, for example: the urine smell is not as strong as it is in NYC, on my trip to London last weekend the few Tube station I visited didn’t smell bad, I must point out that the Tube lines are more complex than the Subway lines (I know it must sound weird!) perhaps numbers are more easy for me to understand than names or because London goes from east to west and NYC from uptown to downtown?… Another thing was the voice coming out from the speakers has a British accent
In Panama we do not have any Metro or Underground yet, the current President Ricardo Martinelli is planning on building the first one.
If you are visiting London during the weekend and The London Tube will be your way of transportation I advice you to check which lines will be unavailable (there will be a few) while you are in London. Visit the official website
Transport for London and you will have access to live news regarding the tube service. Last weekend due to some lines being closed took us more time to get from Madame Tussauds to The Big Ben.

When you travel over many time zones, your body clock reminds the same and It will take some time to synchronize. I traveled to the U.K last Friday and arrived on Saturday afternoon (1:00 pm), but my body clock has 9:00 am as the time. That day I went to bed around 8:00 pm and slept for only 4 hours… my body clock has the time as 6:00pm!!. by today I’m starting to sleep the entire night.
It is normal to feel disorientation, irregular sleep patterns, crankiness, fatigue. I’ve been feeling all of them since day one.
I did some research about jet lag and found that the only remedy is to try to catch-up with the local time, I’m forcing myself to follow the local schedule; putting the right time on my body clock.

I’m from a very hot country (Panama) our temperatures goes around 37 C – 30 C ..? Summer just started in Panama but I had the great idea to travel to Oxford, UK for Holidays. It’s winter time in the U.K and the temperatures goes from -3C to 3C :-S. I thought it would be like my time in Arkansas but I was wrong. I forgot Oxford is way to the North, and the winter does not feel the same
.
I’m so cold!! I’m freezing, but I guess it could be worst WHAT?!!, the only solution for a cold weather is: 3 layers of clothes, the first layer should be a warm long underwear for your legs
that will make a big different if you’re planning on walking. (experience is talking here). Do not forget gloves, hat and scraf you will regret it (experience is talking here, again)
if you come from a warm (or hot) country, it’s better to be well cover than sick
Yesterday Morning, I was inside my room near the windows when I heard a big explosion. The electricity transformer had an overload and exploded, which met no electricity. Great… I thought (sarcastic); I have been sick the entire weekend and my only sources of entertainment where the TV and the Internet.
Now what?, I thought, it is Saturday morning and I bet it’s going to take a while before somebody comes to fix it… what can I do to kill some time?.. hmm, there is clothes I need to iron, but I need electricity for that (man!) well, lets have lunch then, I feel like making some rice with chicken… wait, I need the electricity to cook the rice because I don’t feel like cooking rice the old fashion way lol let have a spaghetti then… I could eat that while watching… there is not electricity! hmm… well, while the chicken gets cooked lets finished washing clothes… oh no!! I need electricity for that too!
my Godness,
I CAN’T LIVE WITH OUT YOU!!
After Two hours The electricity Company came and fixed it, you could heard everybody around being all happy… We are becoming dependent.
