On May 3rd 2009 around 7:00 pm Ricardo Martinelli was declared as the New President of Panama; with about 68% of the votes.
It was my first time voting, and I was really excited. I had to go to my home town to vote, because I forgot to change my address… :-S anyways, I got the chance to see my old high school; they have some new chairs!! in my times we didn’t have chairs… I’m kidding 
After the announcement, there was a huge party at the Calle 50, which is located in the banking area. Cars with flags of the parties, music with the slogan “Los Locos somos Mas”, etc. It was like a national Party.
Not like McCaisn speech, Balbina Herrera was quite angry… her speech was full of sadness, and rebellion… just like a child when doesn’t get his way.
Lets hope, the happiness stays in Panama for a long time.
Let’s hope we do not regret this choice later on..
