Last February 2010 I traveled to Sevenoaks with boyfriend, we stayed for one week; while he was working, I walked around town and traveled to London.

The train station is located a walking distance from The Moorings. If you arrived by train, London Rd will be in front of the train station (left to right), Hitchen Hatch Lane meets London Rd right in front the train station, walk through that lane (let’s than 3 min) and at your right you will find The Moorings Hotel. The location of the B&B is very convenient if you plan to travel to London by train. Take in consideration peak hours (6:30 am – 10:00 am and 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm?) When traveling to London, many people live in Sevenoaks and work in London.  Tickets are more expensive if you plan to leave before 10 am.

London is only 35 min away by train from Sevenoaks; it takes longer if the train stops in every single train station between London Waterloo Station and Sevenoaks Station. Took me around one hour the first time I travel.

Sevenoaks is a small-town; there are few things to do. I stayed there because it is closer to London than Oxford.

The Moorings Hotel English breakfast is good (according to boyfriend) there is cereal if you do not feel like eating a whole English breakfast, you can also have a few things from the English breakfast for example, I had bacon and toast a few time (was good). The room was clean and warm. The Bed was comfortable too

Cons:

There is no cable TV, only 4 channels… the internet is not include in the price and it was down almost every 5 min!, it was annoying.  The hot water was hard to program, sometimes both side had cold water.

The new family is doing a good job with the B&B but there are some little things (mention above) they need to take care of. I do recommend the B&B if you plan to travel to London.
