Dog food with different taste
filed in animals on Aug.19, 2010
I have an English Cooker Spaniel; she is nine years old and eats bees. She used to eat bees and dog food; however, we bought her a new brand of dog food and for the first in nine years, she is not eating it because she doesn’t like the taste of the new brand.
We usually buy a big bag of dog food (50 pounds) and last for 3 months. This time we bought a medium-size, because the market didn’t have her favorite brand.
The brand we bought her is call Bravo and it’s manufacture in Brazil. The bag says “Good Taste and Healthy,” But my dog does not agree with the part of “good taste”. It must taste really bad for my dog not to eat it, because she eats almost everything you put in her plate!I had a German Shepherd who dies four years ago; he was older than Sandy (the cooker spaniel). She used to eat everything before Kaliman (the German Shepherd) got near the food. I remember one time Sandy took a piece of bread out of Kaliman mouth! That shows how selfish she is. I bet if Kaliman was alive she would eat the new brand of dog food just to not let Kaliman eat it.
To make her eat the food, I’m adding some milk to the dog food, but she only eats a little bit. But, we are not going to buy a new bag of dog food unless she finishes the one we bought last week.
I guess she will eat the dog food eventually, maybe when she gets really hungry and can’t catch any bees to eat. She will reconsider the taste of the new brand of dog food or die of starvation…
