Finding the best wordpress Theme

I have tried many different themes on this website, but I’m still not completely satisfy with the way they look… It seems like, I can’t find a theme that does and looks the way I want my blog to look like. Maybe nobody has made a theme the way I have picture my blog in my head.
Many of the free themes out there have the same layout or the same look. The ones that look good are expensive and I’m not buying a theme, at least not yet. I know it is better to buy a theme than using a free one, especially because you have support if something is not working properly after wordpress makes updates. You’re also less likely to get virus or encrypted code, which I hate.
However, there are some good-looking themes, which are free to use, but when wordpress makes an updates (happens many times during the years) something gets mess up! For example, my other website fotografiaaficionada.com I had a nice looking theme on that one but after the latest update made by wordpress, some of the pictures in the homepage stopped working!! I send an email to the developer and I’m still waiting for an answer (I sent the email a month ago…).
At the end I had to used another theme and for some reason the visits drop.
What I think I will do next, is to develop my own theme! Therefore, now I’m teaching myself CSS. I will design a theme for Kalengirl first then I might design a theme for fotografiaaficionada.com
If you want things to be done right, you have to do them yourself
