The feeling of having a job

After looking and applying to many different jobs I got one!
There is a feeling you experience the moment you know you have a job. I wonder if it has to do with the money or the satisfaction of having something to do during the afternoons besides going to University, homework and house work.
I have done voluntary work before, and you do feel good after you have done it. I think the feeling is related with money too. Let me explain, you feel good when you have a job because now you will have money coming in to your account. You can now buy the things you want, I mean “need” you can provide for yourself and the people around you. You feel independent.
However, when you do voluntary work you also feel good. You’re not getting any money from the job you’re doing but you’re doing something for somebody, you’re helping somebody. You know how much your time is worth and you have decided not to charge for it.
It was a year last Friday since the last time I had a real job or in other words a job I like. I’m still looking for a job where I can grow and feel like I’m doing something; it is hard to find a place where you feel welcome and useful.
Now that I have a job, I feel better. I’m contributing a little in the household J
