I was watching TV and I saw a small commercial about Michael Jackson and the movie “This is it”. For my surprise, channel 2 (TVN canal 2) will show the movie this Saturday 26 of June, right after the first anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson.

I didn’t know the Michael Jackson movie was going to be on TV so soon; usually takes about 3 to 4 years. However, it is always better to watch a movie at the cinema, because of the sound and the big screen. Even if you have a home theater and a big flat screen, the experience is not the same as the one you have while watching a movie at the cinema. Read the rest of this entry »

The Lovely Bones is a Best-seller novel (easy to read novel for a non-English speaker) by Alice Sebold, with around 300 pages. It is about a 14-year-old young woman who after being murder stays in her own heaven waiting for justice and watch how her family and friends deal with her death. The main storyline is how life goes by after Susie’s death, not her murder. The whole story is from Susie Salmon point of view, which I think makes the novel stand out from any other.

Marley & Me (Film) by John Grogan

I cannot believe they are doing a movie!! I’m so excited, I loved the book and now I can’t wait to actually go to the movies and watch the movie.Today while I was watching E! news they mentioned it and I could not believe it! I got so excited and started calling my sister to let her know about it (even though she doesn’t actually cares about it, lol).

I read the Book on 2007, I think…
One Sunday, while doing some grocery showing at Wallmart I decided to buy a new book and Marley & Me was my selection (not sure why, maybe because of the cover ;) ). I felt so identify with the book that I read it twice. Maybe, because of the similarities between Marley and a dog I had (a German Sheperd, who died that same year, 2007 :-( ) most dog owner have had the same experiences, John Grogan had with Marley; training, puppy cries, furniture destruction! etc.

The Books is told in first person, by John Grogan (a young report). He shares his adventures raising a Labrador Retriever and a family of three.
I recommended to read the book before watching the movie, otherwise you will miss part of the feelings.
